Don't my boys look alike?

The Story....
For those of you that want to know how things went down....and for me so I don't forget the details. :)
My doctor had been telling me for about three weeks that I was ready to go any minute and that I was progressing. He even said to me the first week of Feb "there is no way you are making it to March"....well he was wrong. I went in for my regular appointment on March 2nd and I was 3.5cm dilated. He was reluctant to let me leave the hospital since I was so far along and didn't really notice any consistent contractions. Plus, James and I live around 45 minutes away from the hospital, so if real labor hit and it was fast, he was worried we would deliver in the car. Nevertheless, he let me go home with a scheduled induction at 8am the next morning. All night I was paranoid that I was going into labor and not noticing, but ultimately fell asleep (no way I could have done that if I were in labor) and in the morning we left. I checked into the hospital and they broke my water and started me on pitocin to make my contractions more regular. I wanted to go O'Natural this time, but alas about an hour in I was calling the doctor for the epidural. He gave it to me and my legs started tingling and my contractions became faint aches. Oh how I LOVE the epidural...but wait, what's this? about an hour later my contraction were getting stronger and stronger. Oh, no this is no good. I called the nurse and she said to push my little button, but that wasn't working. After another hour of pretty crazy contractions I was ready to push....two contractions of pushing and out he came flying! Fabulous! The pushing was the worst with Miles since he has an over sized head, so it was nice that it only lasted a few minutes. He scored a 9-9 on his APGARS, weighed 8 lbs 12 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long. And unlike what the doctor had been telling me for weeks, he arrived in March 3/3/2010. I love that he is 3/3 and Miles is 7/7, it is going to make birthdays so easy to remember!
And here is the good stuff....the pictures.

Miles
Miles is adjusting well to having a little brother. He definitely misses all the one on one time with me, but I think things will only get better. Here he is enjoying our fantastic gift from my sisters. Soooo delicious and just want I wanted after all that weird hospital food.

Never looking like a bigger boy, Miles got all ready for church on Sunday wearing a tie that my friend Ashley made for him. She also made a matching one for Hudson, but it still may be a little soon for that.

Here he is holding Hudson. He loves getting really close and talking to him.

Miles has been getting away with more and more.....like pajamas in the middle of the day. We don't even watch Sesame Street, but he loves him some Elmo!

Great Aunt Recie Visits
Great Aunt Recie and Uncle John were in town helping JD relocate to Savannah at Hunter Army Airfield and they stopped by to visit with my boys.

Little Hudson slept the whole time....what a little dream baby.
Miles had been at church and was so excited to have visitors when he got home. We love that our family makes the time to come and visit and stay connected even from afar.

Love Languages.

My new friend Ashley recently told me about the 5 Love Languages. I have heard of these in passing before mostly from reality TV, but never thought about it. Then she was telling me about her main love language and her husbands and how knowing which way they feel the most love has really improved their relationship. (not that anything was wrong, but you know what I mean) So last night I did the online profile that you can find here... http://www.5lovelanguages.com/assessments/
I found out that I am an 11 for "Words of Affirmation" and a 10 for "Physical Touch" so those are my two main love languages. The other three were pretty low with 6, 2, and 1. I found it so interesting. I am sure that most of my family could tell you that I am needy, and like verbal confirmation that I am doing a good job, and goodness knows I am a physical person giving hugs to everyone.....but I never thought about it in terms of feeling loved.
I can't wait to make James do the quiz...I am sure it will take a little nagging before it happens. I have also decided that I want to know what my family and friends love languages are so that I can express my love for them in the way that they need it the most. So do the profile and let me know.

What was I thinking!!!!
Can you believe all this hair!!! Its not mine if that's what you were thinking. Yesterday Miles went from this.....
.....to This.....
I don't know what I was thinking going so short. James used the clippers on his hair and before I knew it all that beautiful brown was gone to almost nothing! I am sure James thinks I am ridiculous, but for those of you who remember James' shaggy hair before his military cut, you know what I like. Doesn't he look so grown up?
Chilly week...
Last week was pretty chilly in Georgia. (we made up for it over the weekend with 70 and sunny) But that didn't stop Miles from enjoying his bike outside in the driveway. I love the expression of determination in this shot.

Here he is showing off how strong he is as he carries his bike into the garage.

Even though I am a little out of commission when it comes to using a bike or scooter, Miles was not alone in his adventures......Dads right along side him on the scooter with his own little hat to boot. You can see he had just gotten off of work and got suckered into playing outside in the cold....nice boots honey!
