First Day of Preschool...

I realize that I am almost two months late in posting these but they are still awesome.
Here is my big boy being so brave on his first day.
He is so in love with his back pack.

Miles has been loving school. He loves his teacher Miss Debbie and has lots of new "best friends". All of his BFF's are girls....such a ladies man already.

Copycat

Oh Hudson. You are such a copycat. You adore your big brother and can't get enough.
Wherever he goes, you go...whatever he is doing you want in. It's so adorable.

Love these boys.

House Cakes

Some more cute houses for my realtor. They are so fun to make. Houses have so many little details that make them interesting.

Happy 4th of July

We had such a fun fourth, with friends, fireworks and even a pinata. The boys looked adorable sporting their festive gear courtesy of Auntie Amy.

Pink House Wedding

I LOVED this cake. The bride was wearing her mother's wedding dress (how great is that) and so we used the patterns on the dress to create the cake design.

and yes...Mickey and Minnie are on top.

My first actual corset cake. I have done it before in Styrofoam, but this was my first out of real cake. It was harder to ice than I thought, but like everything; I am sure I will get better after each try.

I really loved all the mix of shaped and heights.

and don't even get me started about the venue. the Pink House is AMAZING! Those chandeliers were everywhere. So pretty.

Family Pictures

A few months ago we were able to rent a beach house in Hilton Head with some of our best friends. Not only are they awesome peeps, but Dani is a great photography, and I totally took advantage of her talent while we were there.
My sweet boys....it's hard to get them both to look at the camera.

My favorite.
Thanks Danica.

My favorite things....

These boys run me ragged, but man do I love them!

Miles practicing writing his name in chalk....can you see it?

Oh man, what a blurry good time!

isn't he a riot.

Recent Cakes...

Hudson's first Haircut

Look at that curly mullet...it had to go.

Miles did a great job entertaining Hudson while I took the scissors to his ginger. He even earned himself a lollipop.
Ahhhh, that's better. I'll miss those curls, but people will probably stop wondering if he's a girl.

Miles

plotting his next move...

grabs as many rocks as he can...

and the toss is good!!!

Hey mom, did you see that? No...well let me show you again.

What is it with boys and rocks....
The excavator next to him makes it even cooler.

Hudson turned One!.... a month ago.

The cake

The big song.

Hudson was not feeling the cake at all. I even smashed some in his mouth, but he just slapped it around a bit and then when done.

Hudson going to the shoe bin....

and finding his favorite toy....hence the croc cake.
Happy Birthday Hudson. We love you!!

Hudson in his Sunday Best

Thanks Mom and Dad for the cute clothes!

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, I have always wanted an excuse to try and make cake pops....finally Valentine's Day arrived and I actually had a little time....
Of course I followed the tutorial on www.bakerella.com, but I ran into a few problems. My chocolate seemed a little thick, next time I might try thinning it with some shortening.
The when I went to let them dry I realized that I wasn't as careful as I needed to be when I dipped those little babies. Some of the cake from the inside found it's way out of the tiny holes....next time I will be more precise.
It didn't matter once I had them all bagged up for gifting. You wouldn't even notice.

Such a sweet little treat.
Our Valentine's adventures didn't stop there. Miles helped me make plates of cookies for the neighbors. He iced them and sprinkled them all by himself....such a little pro for 3.

Well, maybe he has a little practicing to do.
Hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day.
