Wow, I can't believe it, Miles is three years old. I can't even wrap my head around it. He is so much fun. The morning of his birthday we told him he was three, and he just kept saying that he was still two. But by the afternoon he was letting me know that he was taller, and now he was three.
Sooooo, I know that there are so many talented mom's out there that blog about the fantastic themes they have for their children's birthday, and trust me, I am not trying to compete with them. But I did have a lot of fun figuring out Miles' party. My great friend Amber had such a cute idea when I told her that Miles' favorite things were Letters and Candy. She said we should have tons of Miles' favorite treats, and label it C is for Cupcake, L is for Lollipop, etc. It was secretly a dream of mine to have a party centered around candy, so it was an easy sell. And Miles really LOVED it.

I borrowed almost all the
server ware from Amber who has a collection anyone would envy. Thanks girl.

Here is the crew of kids we had over to help us celebrate. We had a large kiddie pool in the back and we were lucky enough to have an overcast morning so the adults didn't roast as we watched the kids get wet.

My little man! Can't believe it. He was so excited about everything, and every time I turned around he was shoving a donut in his mouth. I was right behind him in that endeavor. :) Here he is ready to blow out the candle on his
over sized cupcake. No I didn't make a crazy cake. It wasn't a big deal to Miles that he have something elaborate, so cupcakes it was....perfect!

Here was Miles' FAVORITE part of the party. Presents. It was too funny. Right after he opened his presents and gave out great big hugs I had to go up and nurse Hudson. But when I came down Miles had put all of his new toys in his cabinet and was standing guard in front of the door waiting for me to get downstairs and help him play with things.....apparently he didn't want his friends to get to them first. You can tell he has been an only child for too long.
This boy is the joy of my life. I love him so much and wish I could freeze him just like this. We went to his three year check up and he weighed in at 37 pounds (85
th percentile) and 39.5 inches tall (90
th percentile). He is a healthy boy and we feel so blessed to have him in our lives.
